I have started an adventure to cook my way through the Oh She Glows cookbook. A la Julie and Julia but more animal friendly and much less ambitious.
It's 115 recipes all in, I am giving myself a year, but hoping for six months.
My supportive boyfriend is the taste tester, guinea pig, and critic. It may also be important to note that he is a meat eater and I'll repeat the supportive part again because that's some serious support to commit to 115 unknown vegan recipes (and also a fly by the seat of my pants I will just make substitutions because I forgot to buy all the ingredient girlfriend).
Yesterday he ate a bag of beef jerky so he's not a casual omnivore, he likes meat, and cheese and milk... Thankfully he also likes me and so we embark.
As as disclaimer: I'm not trying to turn my omnivorous Jacoby vegetarian or vegan or push an agenda. He doesn't complain about what I eat and I extend the same courtesy to him. We are adventuring to find meals we both enjoy.
